Women's empowerment, Missing women, Discrimination.

Women’s empowerment mainly consists of two words first is women and another is the empowerment that how you make the women independent or say how you make them powerful. In the entire globe everywhere no matter the country is developed, developing, or underdeveloped the women are facing discrimination. By the way of women empowerment now the scenario is changed but countries like India far lack behind to achieve the goals of women empowerment.

India is a diverse country; the sex ratio is varied from state to state. The gap between the Male and Female ratio is varied due to the notion of not accepting the girl’s child.  The word “missing women” is coined by Nobel laureate Amartya Sen and told that 100 million women are missing due to gender discrimination in India.  The female labor force participation is also very low as compared males in India but when compared globally the Labour force participation of women of Developed countries women’s, we are lagging far behind due to conservative beliefs as well as violence So awareness about that males and females both are equal, females are not discriminated on any bench of societal norms that men can do, female do not. Education is the key element of women's empowerment by which all other benchmarks of empowerment will be achieved such as participation in politics, decision making, self-dependent, and visionary eyesight to uplift.

The ratio of participation of women in higher education is low as compared to males because of early childhood marriage but one positive news on December 16, 2021, that the legal age of marriage of women is from 18 to 21 years. The age bar 18 to 21 is a good symbol of women's empowerment.

Social Media, Pandemic, Admission seeker, Diverse.

       Using  LinkedIn for college admission

In the era of the 21st century, the world is moving towards a more digitalized form and moving ahead to connect with the world with the help of the social platform. LinkedIn is also a social platform where people of the society connect. Here I am telling how this platform helps us to get admission to the college. Frankly telling when you hear about this platform, the First thing which has come to your mind is that this is for the job seeker and employer and also a lot of confusion related to LinkedIn, some people thought it as a social media network like Facebook, Instagram, etc. and some thought it is job portal both are correct but it is biased towards professional, So the questions arise how this helps us the students getting admission in the university or Institute. Here I am explaining, if you search on the search option of the LinkedIn only admission there is a lot of profiles that have come out of admission advisor and counselor of the representative of university and Institute all around the globe. This is by the employer side by which you get to know the usefulness of LinkedIn for admission. Using LinkedIn for college admission is a good idea by where the university goes through the profile of students and gathering information of the student and also instructs the students while filling the form to link their social media profiles and also link the LinkedIn profile.

This is for the admission seeker, so to attract the high school students the minimum age bar is reduced from 18 to 14, this is a massive increase in the registered number on LinkedIn. LinkedIn is not only for the job seeker or the employer they are also for the students to create profiles and connect. The first thing the admission seeker does is to make a professional profile and show people who don’t know who you are and connect with the people and groups. If the student profile is quite professional there may be a chance of getting admission to the college. The college admission counselor has been going through the profile and the student get has notified that’s someone is viewing the profile.

In this pandemic, a lot of offline activities are forced to do online. There are a lot of activities where students participate such as Internships, social activities, admission, online courses, etc. all these activities do to online by the employer side and also from the admission seeker. So the number of students registered on this platform is massive after the pandemic and all are getting and resolving queries online with the help of this platform. Students on LinkedIn get this opportunity and getting participate in these activities. LinkedIn also offers a feature through which you can other people to recommend you, people with a maximum number of recommendations have a great chance of attracting attractors so this feature is also for the admission seeker to get maximum recommendations as possible to increase their profile strength. LinkedIn is a popular social network for career development but you don’t have to wait until you enter the workforce, build your profile, and connect with the people while you studying. LinkedIn also used to participate in different activities such as organizing events, writing articles, publishing jobs, posting photos and videos, and LinkedIn learning is a subsidiary of LinkedIn which provides courses taught by the industry expert.

India is a diverse country where the societal infrastructure of the society is very diverse so it is quite understandable that a lot of people are not aware of this social network and the benefits of joining this network. To spread awareness about LinkedIn to make an account on this platform and get the opportunity that LinkedIn provides.
